Strategic in action’ moudle relection essay

This reflection essay is about reflect to our group strategic stimulation of WRSX

This is the email from our tutor’s requirment about this assignment as below:

This week we’ll be looking at approaches to your final, individual critical reflection. Essentially you are asked to engage critically with case study materials etc (I am paraphrasing) to evaluate and reflect on how your learning throughout the simulation may have shaped your strategic decision-taking abilities.
You are also asked to consider your part in group activities and how you may have influenced the decisions taken and how your opinions may have been shaped by others too.
To that end, I thought I should stimulate your thinking with some interesting think pieces on the value of simulations in business learning and a perspective on virtual collaboration which many of you will have engaged in when putting together your assignment 1: Group Report.
Don’t feel you have to use any of the attached – but in the event you want to step back from strategy theory and instead reflect on your learning experiences, you are welcome to draw inspiration from the attached!

The Yellow Wallpaper: Short Stories

“The Yellow Wallpaper”:
Submit to the Drop Box an essay of 800–1100 words explaining and justifying your interpretation or theory of the story. ??Follow MLA format, which you learned in ENG101: Double-space with 12 pt. font, indent all paragraphs, follow the format fot the title page. You should not be using outside sources. This assignment requires NO outside sources. Just read, think, and tell us why people might think this story sorth reading.
What is there to appreciate in it even if you yourself do not care for it? Explain how the author achieves an effect, supports the theme with elements in the environment, or makes a statement about human nature. In the process, you will refine your reading ability as well as your taste and you will expand the powers of your mine.??Submit your essay as an attachment so that your formatting is not ruined.
Plagiarism, as you know, is intentionally or unintentionally giving the impression that words or ideas from a source are your own. Since you are not using outside sources, plagiarism should not be an issue.
Your essay is graded on focus, organization, development, sentence structure, and mechanics.
Write in forman English. This means doing the following:
1. Avoid “you” when you mean yourself, the reader, or readers. “We” is a pretty good substitute.
2. Delete needless words, such as “I feel that,” “I believe that,” and “in my opinion.” We know that everything you write is your opinion except when you tell us otherwise. So state your opinions as though they were facts, and then support your opinion with sufficient evidence that any reasonable person would agreee with you.
3. Your may briefly, in a sentence or two, tell what the story is about, but otherwise do not retell the story except to support a point you are making about the story or some aspect of the story.
4. Avoid contractions, expecially “would’ve” and “could’ve,” slash words/expreessions, such as “and/or,” and place commas and periods inside “quotation marks.”
5. One more thing: NEVER say that someone “quotes.” A writer “writes,” “says,” “notes,” or “observes,” bur NEVER “quotes.” And remember, when writing about writing, to keep to the present tense.
6. When writing about writing, keep to the present tense.
7. Keep it simple. Avoid “utilize” where “use” will do. Avoid “oftentimes” where “often” will do. Avoid “within” where “in” will do. Avoid “storyline” where “story” will do.
8. The first time you use an author’s name, use the whole name. Thereafter, use the last name only.

Praxis Assignment: The Praxis assignment is asking you to reflect and synthesize what you have learned in previous assignments for this class and develop a personal model/framework for your nursing practice

Praxis Assignment
The Praxis assignment is asking you to reflect and synthesize what you have learned in previous assignments for this class and develop a personal model/framework for your nursing practice. Setting the stage for this paper, how has your nursing knowledge evolved as a nursing professional? How does the Nursing Metaparadigm relate to your practice? Define your role, phenomena of interest, the concept that brought you to a deeper understanding of the phenomena, your style of thinking or nursing philosophy, and the grand or mid-range theories used to guide patient care. In nursing practice, many nurses use an eclectic approach of theories from nursing and non-nursing theory. Think what guides your thinking and actions in your practice.

Remember an APN is not designed to become a researcher. The PhD program is for those interested in research. The focus for the APN’s is patient care and quality improvement. Yes, APN’s practice must focus on using research and many terms used in research and quality improvement are similar. The scientific underpinnings used to developing your praxis in nursing practice is to guide nursing care that links to patients’ goals of obtaining health and wellness as well as achieving the nation’s goals to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities. Nursing students must recognize collaborating patients and professionals increases the linking of research and theory into clinical practice that will improve the health of a nation.

So, what does this have to do with patient care or keeping patients from harm? What underpins the APN role? Have you conceptualized your praxis for practice? How will this guide your thinking, behavior, and actions in nursing? Well, enough with the questions. The Praxis assignment will demonstrate you have moved up the ladder to a higher level of scholarly thinking and actions.

Since this paper is a synthesis of what you have learned this semester, you should be summarizing what you have learned throughout the course in this assignment. When you develop the graphic model that represents your Framework of Praxis, please save a copy of this document. What you have identified “thus far” as part of your Praxis will be included on the model, you will be adding more models and theories as you proceed forward in the curriculum. A copy of the grading rubric for this assignment is linked below.

Definition of PRAXIS

1
: action, practice: asa : exercise or practice of an art, science, or skillb : customary practice or conduct
2
: practical application of a theory

Critical thinking this semester has brought you to view the world through a different lens – not just black and white but with various shades of gray. First, you pondered and reflected your current nursing practice and identified a concern for patient care when identifying a phenomenon of interest (POI). For a deeper understanding of the POI, you considered others values, beliefs, and opinions to help you search a concept that brought a deeper meaning to you. With the new perspective of the POI, you discovered different actions that can help or hinder your patient, family, or community.

Through critical thinking, you have learned more about yourself and the ways you develop nursing knowledge. In addition, you identified a philosophical way of thinking that guides your thoughts and ideas to help you maintain consistency in work and life (Butts & Rich, 2015). Therefore, praxis is what you “think, feel, and do” (head, heart, and hands). As you will read, there are numerous ways and methods to develop a Framework for Praxis. The content covered this semester has covered different aspects of the components necessary to develop a Framework for Praxis. We believe you now have a good foundation to explore your own framework.

The term “Praxis” is used to describe the unity of theory, research, and practice that each of you experience in your encounters with patients. Praxis provides the recognition that your individual philosophy, theoretical perspective, and your personal value system have a direct impact on your nursing practice (Smith & Liehr, 2014).

There are a series of articles and a book chapter listed in the required readings that will help address the notion of praxis. You will need to read each of the articles with special attention given to the “praxis” sections of the articles. It is not necessary for you to master the content of the article that does not pertain to the praxis content. Another note about the readings…they are not inclusive of all the materials available. We have tried to select articles that look at theory and praxis, philosophy and praxis, research paradigms and praxis, and clinical practice and praxis. Look at the reference lists of the articles to determine if there are additional resources that you would like (or need to) explore to write your Framework for Praxis paper.

The paper assignment requires that you reflect on the discipline of nursing, philosophical underpinnings, theoretical underpinnings, practice underpinning (specifically, the history of your advanced practice role), and place it all in context to your practice/population focus. In addition, we want you to attach an appendix of your personally developed praxis model. Know that you might not “get” the literature the first time through. Know that you might need to read – spend time in reflection – ask questions – explore the article again, or seek a different article or literature for more of an explanation. You have already “done” this work through earlier assignments in this course. Developing your Framework for Praxis is literally synthesizing the material and putting it all together. We recognize the framework you develop for this assignment is just the beginning step for you all. But it is an important first step as you begin to personally define your role and your practice.

Using the Assistive Technology Plan template

Using the Assistive Technology Plan template, you will create an assistive technology plan for a student with a high incident disability (learning disability, emotional behavior disorder, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, or other health impairment). In the chart, identify a learner with a high incident disability to create an assistive technology plan. In your plan, you will identify the learner, the disability, and grade level.

In two to three paragraphs, you will discuss the characteristics of the student including educational strengths and areas of needs (academic, communication, social, environmental and curricular access, etc.), family involvement, classroom challenges or concerns, existing supports, and other pertinent information about the student. You can either use an existing or fictitious student.

Based on the discussion of the student’s needs and disability, identify at least five areas of need related to materials and teaching methods in the classroom or learning environment, discuss potential barriers or missed opportunities, and then discuss at least two possible solutions to address each area of need. Your solutions must be research-based and should be cited within the chart. You must use a minimum of two peer-reviewed sources to substantiate your AT solutions.

Critical Thinking

As the warden of Larkfield Park, you have been called to investigate an incident involving a fight between two dogs. The fight took place in the park fifteen minutes ago. Using the information given in the following passage, write out a reasoned case for judging which dog (and therefore which owner), if either, was to blame. In your answer you should make clear what assumptions you are making about what the participants could have seen, what motives they might have had for saying what they do, what expertise they have and any other relevant factors:

The owner of the first dog (A) claims that the second dog attacked hers ‘viciously and without warning’. The owner of the second dog (B) denies this, pointing to the injuries on her dog as evidence that it was (A)’s dog which attacked viciously. (You can see that (B)’s dog is indeed more injured than (A)’s)
The owner of a third dog (C) says that, about half an hour ago her dog had been involved in a fight with (B)’s dog, a fight that was started, without any provocation, by (B)’s dog. In addition, she insists on making the point that (A)’s dog ‘always gets on well with hers’.
A jogger (J) tells you that, from a distance, he had seen both incidents in which (B)’s dog is alleged to have been involved. In both cases, he says, (B)’s dog did seem to be the one that was chasing the other dog and making most noise.
Another dog owner (D), who has just come into the park, says that he has often walked with (A) and her dog; he finds it impossible to believe that (A)’s dog could be vicious.
