Promoting the GAPPS

Background

The Global Alliance for Project Performance Standards (GAPPS) has been operating since February 2003 as an entirely volunteer driven organisation with the aim of:

Developing global performance based standards for project management as a basis for transportability, transferability and mutual recognition of qualifications

The GAPPS vision statement is that GAPPS:

is the INDEPENDENT reference benchmark for alignment and transportability of Project and Program standards and qualifications

In achieving this vision the GAPPS will

Facilitate, develop, approve, publish, promote, maintain and review global project management standards
Facilitate, develop, approve, publish, promote, maintain and review usage guidelines for project management standards
NOT consult, advise, express opinion or develop products based upon standards and guidelines
NOT provide training, assessment, certifications or qualifications to individuals based upon standards and guidelines

It is the intent of the GAPPS to hold the copyright for all products produced in order to make them available for the public to use at no cost.

The GAPPS has no employed staff although income produced from membership and Working Session attendance fees is used to cover web site, accounting, secretariat and other operating costs which are kept to a minimum.

Work of the GAPPS is carried out primarily by volunteers who attend three day Working Sessions in various parts of the world.

The only presence of the GAPPS is the website: www. globalpmstandards.org. No printed material is provided. The email address is info@globalpmstandards.org. There is are LinkedIn group and Facebook sites set up for the GAPPS. Website traffic details are provided by Google Analytics. The Global Alliance for Project Performance Standards is a company incorporated in Australia.

Additional information is available in the following documents: A brief history of the GAPPS September 2011.pdf

Challenge

GAPPS has developed significant global standards for project and program management, and there is anecdotal evidence that these are being used eg by Rolls Royce, Shell, CBA, for various purposes. But the GAPPS has no evidence of wider awareness or use of the standards. The assumption is that the work GAPPS is doing is, and will continue to be valuable, but GAPPS needs to take action to achieve greater community engagement.

GAPPS has to earn respect globally and has to earn recognition for its standards and competence while maintaining its professionalism, as well as its volunteer spirit, friendly approach and social interaction.

GAPPS must also be able to improve and sustain its income stream – primarily from membership fees and workshops, in order for it to continue.
The challenge is to develop and implement an initiative that will increase
1,awareness of GAPPS
2,use of the GAPPS standards
3,membership of GAPPS in the global community.
you are required to write 1,Problem/Task Specification 2,Literature Review, 3, Proposed Methodology 4 ,Expected Outcomes 5, conclusion

Restorative Justice

I need a dissertation writing on the subject of Restorative Justice. I do not have a specific question but the following are a few ideas I have that you could take a look at to see what you could come up with and possibly link some them together to form a sensible body of work. The word count for my project is 10000 words but I am only asking you for 4125 as I plan to use your work as a template in order to expand on. With this in mind you may choose to work on maybe 2 or 3 of the areas below and advice me on 1 or 2 to do myself in order to produce a completed piece of work. I will happily take your guidance on this in the same way I will if you can think off or feel that the areas I have highlighted below need some adjustment, as long as you stay on the general path of what I am trying to do.

• How effective is Restorative Justice as a deterrent against reoffending in the UK?
• What affect does Restorative Justice have on the perpetrators of crime in terms of their aptitudes towards committing crimes?
• What are the possible positive on crime rates for more serious crimes given that serious criminal often start of with petty crime (that Restorative Justice aims to combat) before evolving to commit more serious offences?
• If Restorative Justice was expanded to for part of the sentencing for more serious crimes (i.e. murder, where the offender was made financially liable for the family of the victim for example), what effect would this have on crime rates in this area?
• Compare Restorative Justice or other sentencing practices around the world (i.e. the death penalty, whipping and chopping off of limbs etc.) what are the crime rates in those countries for the relevant crimes, i.e. does that work as a punishment?

I would prefer a UK writer for this as it is based around practices in the UK, however if you feel that a writer from elsewhere is able to do the job better based of expertise I will be happy with that also.

The referencing style is OSCOLA

I would like to communicate with my writer via email only unless in the cases of an extreme emergency.

a case study of a specific relationship between your placement organisation (A primary school) and a partner agency.(PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES COVER SUPPLY TEACHERS)

I am studying a BA honors in working with children young people and families so my case study work needs to meet this degrees requirements. I am an undergraduate student so I would like you to use simple straightforward English as an undergraduate student. Also can you please use ‘English’ references and ‘English’ words in my assignment not ‘American’ please. Even though choose an English writer to do my work this seems to be the case all the time and me telling you now will save me from giving it back to you and getting it done again. Also I did not know whether to choose a education writer or sociology but I have picked education if this cannot be done feel free to change it to a sociology writer. As my degree is quite broad in different topics.
This assignment is a case study of a specific relationship between my placement organisation and a partner agency. My placement was at a primary school and the agency that was in partnership with it was ITN Education which is a agency that works with the primary school and supplies it with supply and cover teachers. I have attached notes about this agency which you will find. Also I have used other names in my assignment for this school and agency as for confidential issues. I have done introduction to give u a head start to complete my work for me and I have also attached the plan which you need to follow as a step to step guidance. Please read the lecture notes and include the policies, theories, and legislation, partnership models which will link and please include them. Can you please also use the reading list for research and other English references please.
? This is a reflective case study i.e reflecting on an aspect of partnership working. It is an academic piece of work so therefore you MUST use references to back up your findings/observations.
? NB: This is NOT a case study of services around a child/family. It is not an individual case study.
? Also you will not have to talk much about the school and the agency history because I have already done that in the introduction. However you will have to talk about the partnership of my work placement school with the agency which supplies it with cover teachers following it with the plan I provide you with using the lecture notes and reading.
Introduction which I have started for a head start: this is also attached with more points.. Feel free to change the introduction if it as any mistakes or needs anything else included in it.
This case study identifies the concepts of working in partnership and examines the level of its responsibilities. The case study highlights the partnership between the professionals from a primary school and an agency that operates in the event of staff absence. The analysis are based on a primary school which works for the public sector and the agency that is a limited company. My placement took place at Twinkle primary school which is a very large school that had opened in 1984, was set up by the Birmingham local authority and has 1085 pupils attending. The school follows the government requirements with the participation from local education department and is registered with Ofsted. Twinkle primary school and Shirley education have been in partnership for eight years. Also Shirley Education is one of the UK’s largest agencies that has been established in 1999 which specializes in education recruitment for teachers, SEN specialists, nursery and support staff into schools and nurseries by providing unique quality of services. However Shirley Education provides cover supply teachers to Twinkle primary school such as professional QTS teachers and teaching assistants due to emergencies to support pupils and other staff at that period of time. I have chosen focus on a primary schools and this agency which work together because both organisations work within the greatest interest of children. For this reason the analysis of the case study will help me reflect efficiently both settings through identifying were the core values of the organisational, personal, professional have played a role within this partnership working aspect as well as examining and showing understanding towards between core values. Hobert and Frankel (2002, p.5) that placement is basis of which to examine efficient practice in service, also by becoming aware of its role. As a result, having such opportunities can be very advantageous in terms of analysing strengths and weaknesses for future reference. Following this idea, this case study will identify the public and volunteer sectors of service providers. Furthermore, the analysis of the concepts relating to the two organisations working in partnership and a reflection of what could be done differently that helps to promote education and care system in key stage two setting will conclude an important conclusion.
Then follow this plan: which is also attached.

Other things to include in the case study. use the lecture notes they will help you answer all this along with the reading list.
Partnership: (Qualities of partnership in a work place)
Communication: same goal
Compromise: talking to each other
Being supportive: help to achieve a goal or an aspiration.
respect: feelings, belief, respecting someone’s feelings even if you disagree with their belief. The values some has. Respect is gained by how you talk and interact with colleagues.
Trust: investment, accepting support, underties compromise and respect. Don’t feel threatened on your own. Someone has the same set of requirements as you have.
Actions and expectations: (Precommend): Understand through our emotions, learned from your own values. Trust
A set of Skills that you have to be aware of and build to be successful (Consciously)
Partnership takes time to build and time to build trust.
Use models in case study: these models are more in depth in the lecture notes under the ‘working in partnership, what it is and how we recognise it’ PowerPoint.
Must include and link them to case study how they work in the partnership. Also to then critique everything. Also critique the levels of partnership..
Frost 2005 levels of partnership
Level one: co operation
Level two: collaboration
Level three: co ordination
Level four: merger/integration
No partnership – uncoordinated/ free standing
Not all partnerships are the same. They have different levels of commitments. (Theory of depth)
What level are they operating?
The levels need to be included in the case study.
Collaboration, common strategy, joint monitoring and evaluation. Joint planning, information sharing and communication. Who is in this partnership their roles should be included in the case study.
Ladder of partnership (Percy Smith 2005) This model needs to be critically analysed
Information exchange, planning action, implementing projects and service plans, co ordination and co operation in practise. Collaboration and full partnership. Approach this model with an critical analysis.
Formal and Informal models: look at lecture notes these questions should be addressed
• Partnership working sounds like common sense and often feels like it should be common sense but often doesn’t work. Why? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the approach? What are the barriers?
• How does the voice of the ‘user of services’ or ‘the community’ get heard? Are they part of the partnership?
• What part does politics play in all of this – does the identity of the government change our ideas about partnership working?
Organisational process, what helps? why does this partnership exist..
What gets in the way?
What helps?
Benefits of partnership working?
Include changes in how we deliver services have been driven by public changes in political ideas or changing public attitudes. Include the theory and law which links with the case study. You will find this the power point notes named under ‘statutory, voluntary and private sectors’.
Make sure you talk include empowerment as this is the key point in the case study and you will find notes on his in the lecture slides. The PowerPoint named ‘multi agency and partnership working engaging wit community’
What are the issues in relation to working with children?
Book and readings:

Lack of confidence and knowledge or status. (Brandon et al 2008 p5)
Include policies and legislations which are put in place which ate included in the lecture notes.
Include in case study
Understanding professional identity, National context, policy, training, broader social attitudes, values and local context setting.
Criticize were partnership does not work and state how to make it better.
What gets in the way?
