presented by Matthew Taylor. This video is the property of The RSA and is used under the public domain guidelines found at http://www.thersa.org/events/about-events/rsa-video-and-audio-file-usage-policy .

There are three videos for this discussion board, so please watch all videos before beginning to put your thoughts into words. Be sure to reference each of the videos in your response. This response should be somewhat longer than earlier posts to indicate your critical thinking skills by pulling these lessons together.

Thinking through the lessons that we see in this week’s videos, tie it all together toward sustaining change. How do the videos help us learn to create and sustain change? As you look back over the term, what are the lessons that you believe will contribute to sustained change for your change initiative? What pieces, specifically, did you put in place to keep the initiative on track and to meet its intended outcome? Did you create a linked mission and vision to direct the change initiative? Did you include a communication plan to facilitate the change? As a change agent, what perspective is the best fit for you personally? Did you play to your own strengths? Did you use any of the many tools in the text to guide your change initiative? For example, did you assess readiness for change?
How did the discussion boards and other assignments contribute to your personal changes? Did you perceive change in yourself? How will you sustain that change?

Again, tie it all together to explain the lessons that stick with you as you complete your last case and prepare to complete the course. Tell us about Change Management.

To complete a discussion board appropriately, you need to meet several criteria:
• A minimum response is 250 words.
• Every initial response is required to include, minimum, two credible resources to support your response.
• Every response must be completed in APA style. That includes all citations, references, and format.
• If you do not meet all of these requirements, you will not receive any credit for the discussion board.
• Technique counts, so be sure to proof read your posts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other technical issues that can impact communication quality.

Training and Development Paper

Training Strategies for Small and Medium Sized Businesses: One Size Doesn’t Fit All
These papers are to reflect the current "state of the art" in the area and should reflect both academic and professional (practical) orientations. The paper should review the available research, discuss the implications of that research for the topic area, and provide conclusions. The paper must use at least six- to- eight scholarly sources and should be organized into the following areas:

Introduction: The area of research should be described and the purpose of the research. That is, describe the topic area in terms of (1) its relationship to training and (2) what you want to be able to contribute to the training literature by writing this paper.
Review of the literature: Organize the literature into logical streams of thought related to your topic area. Within each of these areas summarize what the literature has to say. Be sure to indicate in your discussion whether the information is based on empirical data or just the opinion of the author.
Implications of the literature: Again, organize the implications of the literature in a manner that logically builds the case for your conclusions (which you will present in the next section). For each of your implications be sure to reference the literature related to that implication. Be sure to indicate whether the implication is one that has already been made in the literature or if this is one that is original to you. You should identify in this section important areas related to your topic that are missing from the literature.
Conclusions: This is where you tie all the pieces together. Make sure your conclusions are organized in a logical order that states what you have concluded relative to the purpose of your paper. Be sure that these conclusions are justified. For example, conclusions based upon empirical fact have more weight than those based upon opinion. Opinions shared by many in the literature have more weight than those of only one author.
Writing the Training and Development Paper

The Training and Development Paper:

Must be eight- to- ten double-spaced pages in length (not including the title and reference pages), and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Must include a cover page that includes:
Student’s name
Course name and number
Name of paper
Instructor’s name
Date submitted
Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement which identifies the focus of the paper.
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
Must use at least six- to- eight scholarly sources from the Ashford University Library, in addition to the text.
Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Analysis about Nabokov’s book

3 short essays

A GENERAL ADMONITION: When using quotes,both from the main source and critical materials, just give the essentials and shave off the rest to avoid overly long ones.Most of the narrative should be yours since we can read theirs anytime,but you should also show your awareness of both primary and critical texts,so it can be a tricky balance which you should learn to navigate.
Answer ALL three prompts.Also DONOTSUMMARIZE,ANALYSE!

1. Brian Boyd writes: “No one has felt more passion than
Nabokov for the radiance of a personal past, and no one has recollected the past with more precision. That alone would suffice to place his autobiography among the greatest ever written. But above all, Speak,Memory is the most artistic of all autobiographies. ‘The meeting point,’ as Nabokov himself defines it, ‘of an impersonal art form and a very personal life story.’” Do you agree with this assessment? If you do, please discuss at least three concrete examples from at least three different chapters, of how these points are illustrative of Nabokov’s autobiography. If you don’t agree, discuss at least three concrete examples from at least three different chapters of where it falls short. Please make sure you use and incorporate the article from the Companion on his art of autobiography (there is another article on a similar topic — and by the same author ? — on the course web site that you may also want to consult). Length: 3 double^space pages

2. Nabokov’s childhood versus Luzhin’s. What went right in
Nabokov’s and wrong in Luzhin’s? Do you think Nabokov, when he describes his childhood in Speak,"Memory, wants us to think he was also a child prodigy of sorts? Why yes, why no? Do you think the treatment of this theme of the influence of one’s childhood, and the novel as a whole, are in any way particularly “Russian” or universal? Please make use of Dolinin’s article for the latter question and feel free to discuss Nabokov’s distaste of Freud, for whose theories the impact of one’s childhood was also of course of crucial importance. Length: 3 double^space pages

3.A. Please analyze and discuss ANY"aspect of the relationship between the narrator and his protagonist in The"Luzhin"Defense which is of interest to you. Length: 2^double^space pages

mental health case study

Margaret is a 48-year-old female referred by her GP for an assessment and subsequent admission to the MH unit of the local hospital. She was admitted one week ago, accompanied by her partner. Her GP had been treating her for an anxiety disorder during the past 6 months. Margaret had recently become withdrawn and agitated after returning from a recent cruise. According to her partner the reported behaviours were new.

The time arrives from Margaret’s discharge. Her hospital case manager asked if you as the nurse unit manager, could attend the ward meeting to meet with Margaret to discuss possible discharge options. Margaret’s treating psychiatrist agrees that she is ready for discharge and will benefit from community mental health follow-up. It is the end of the week and ward staff are keen for an early discharge to prepare the unit for any week-end admissions.

You introduce yourself to Margaret and when you inform her of the discharge plan she becomes suspicious, hostile and abusive. She insists that she requires a longer period of hospitalisation because she is not feeling ready to face her home and other commitments.

You remain firm and empathetic and remind Margaret that she will be supported by a case manager from the mental health team (MHT) post discharge.

1) Using the scenario provided, write up your responses highlighting the issues (nursing and other) of concern in relation to this patient;

2) Discuss how you might respond to Margaret so as to initiate a collaborative relationship;

3) What information do you need from Margaret about her family and work commitments that might assist with her successful transition into the community;

4) Explain and justify how this information would facilitate a successful transition into the community.

Referencing must comply with CDU APA 6th Ed Referencing Style. Advice on this is available from the CDU Library website

Law

You are a solicitor in legal practise in Queensland. Mary has come to see your supervising partner, rather distraught, seeking advice. Her son, Alex is in year 10. He recently found a usb stick at his school, Goldstone State High School. It was a school issued usb stick to students once they start year 11. The usb stick does not have any external marks distinguishing it from another usb stick. Alex accessed the data on the usb stick and it contained a file which, when opened, allowed Alex to essentially “hack” the online computer game, Skyrim, which he did at school. The firm’s legal file notes that Alex has apparently been very naughty and used the hack to create online quest items. He has then sold those quest items to his friends and third parties. He has used the money to buy himself new clothes and a new bike, the remaining money is held is his personal bank account. These purchases altered his mother to his activities. The following parties have now come forward claiming all of the money which Alex obtained from using the hack:

· the Skyrim game developers;

· the Principal (on behalf of Goldstone State High School) because the activities occurred using a school computer, on school time and using a school usb; and

· Katie, a student who says she owns the usb stick.

To make matters worse, all the people that Alex sold quest items to now have also sought their money back, as they believe their items are tainted and may be removed by the game developers.

Advise Mary. Refer to any cases, legislation or journal articles which are relevant to your answer. Please note that your supervising partner will deal with any issue NOT related to property law. Therefore you have been asked to confine your answer to your ambit as an expert in property law only.
