Advanced Nursing Practice I

1. Please read case study and fill out care plan template attachment on the bottom of the page. Thank you
In this week?s Grand Rounds presentation, we will be discussing topics relevant to the cardiovascular system. Following the Grand Rounds presentation, you will be assigned a patient suffering from a cardiac disorder and you will be in charge of developing a detailed care plan for your patient. You are required to search for evidence as you move on to the task of care plan development. Search for evidence from a variety of sources, including textbooks, current journal articles, peer communication, personal experience, and feedback from patients, based on your experiences in treatment.
Case stuydy:Your first patient will be a 55-year-old man recently discharged from the hospital following a stent placement for coronary artery disease. This patient requires extensive education regarding the medications prescribed at the time of his discharge and the health promotion activities that he should follow based on his post-hospitalization diagnoses.

Case Study Analysis and Care Plan Creation
Analyze the case study assigned to you at the outpatient clinic. Create a holistic care plan for disease prevention, health promotion, and acute care of the patient in the clinical case. Your care plan should be based on current evidence and nursing standards of care.
Visit the online library and research for current scholarly evidence (no older than 5 years) to support your nursing actions. In addition, consider visiting government sites such as the CDC, WHO, AHRQ, Healthy People 2020. Provide a detailed scientific rationale justifying the inclusion of this evidence in your plan.
Next determine the ICD-9 classification (diagnoses). The International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) is the official system used in the United States to classify and assign codes to health conditions and related information.
? Search term page to identify the codes applicable to the care plan. http://www.cms.gov/medicare-coverage-database/staticpages/icd-9-code-lookup.aspx
? This link will lead to an excel version of the latest codes: http://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Coding/ICD9ProviderDiagnosticCodes/codes.html

Types of Contracts and Performance-Based Acquisition

Imagine that you are working on a two-million-dollar procurement for the purchase of vehicles for the fleet of trucks and cars to be used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. These vehicles will be used for off-road driving on dirt roads in Arizona. Your manager has asked you to select the type of contract to be used for the vehicle purchase.

Choose to respond to this scenario from a government or a contractor perspective. If you select government, then you will complete the assignment as if you are a government employee (or military personnel) receiving the proposal from the contractor. If you select contractor, then you will complete the assignment as if you are a contractor employee submitting a proposal to the government. (I choose a government employee).

1. Examine the types of contracts and performance-based acquisition. Select the type of contract you would like to use for the vehicle purchase.
2. Evaluate the pros and cons of sealed bidding contracts and negotiated contracts, emphasizing which one would be best for this purchase.
3. Determine the responsibilities of the contracting officer during the proposal evaluation process.
4. Assess the requirements for performance-based acquisitions.
5. Create requirements for the vehicle purchase that could be included in a performance-based contract with rationale.
6. Use 5 quality academic resources that are within 4 years

Entrepreneurship

Research reportA preliminary investigation of a sector or field in which you may wish to start a business.
The report centres on your independent investigation of a particular sector or field in which you may wish to start a business, either in bringing a product or service to market. Use relevant academic sources as well as your own research findings of the field to investigate the context (social, political etc.) in which your idea sits. We will be discussing some ideas and a worked example in our Assignment Workshop session. The research report is intended to develop students’ research skills in locating, selecting, synthesising, organising and presenting material. Remember that this is NOT a business plan or marketing plan. Financial information and funding plans, break-even analysis, projected profit and loss and cash flow information is NOT needed.

Written work must include a full reference section according to the Harvard Reference system, which does not form part of the word count. You are expected to consult many sources and reference a wide range of academic articles. Internet sites which are not academic data bases should not be included as references, other than for purposes of case study illustration (eg company/organisation information).

Affirmative Action in the Workplace

Please follow these specific guidelines,
thanks.

PHIL 1317: PAPER TOPIC ASSIGNMENT

Write a 5 page paper on ONE of the following topics

Topic: Affirmative Action in the Workplace

Notice that your paper will be acceptable as long as it relates to a topic on the list, broadly understood. You can address the topic of your choice from a theoretical perspective, comparing and contrasting two or more conflicting positions, or – you can pick an actual case and discuss it, thus applying the theory to a real-world example. You can also combine these two approaches (begin by focusing on the theory, and then apply it to an interesting case), and you are free to use more than once case to illustrate your point (if your position on the issue falls in between two extremes, you may illustrate your reasoning on the topic by considering two or more different cases).

Guidelines and suggested paper structure:
– although paper structure might vary depending on whether you focus on theory or on the actual cases, the same basic principles apply: it is important to be as clear and concise as possible.
– briefly explain the nature of the problem that you are writing about (why is it a moral dilemma? What are possible answers to this dilemma?)
– summarize major arguments for both positions (pick the strongest arguments for each position, and present them as effectively as possible)
– evaluate these arguments (are they good arguments or not? Are they strong or weak, and why? Is there something that they overlook?)
– evaluate major positions (what are the major advantages and disadvantages of both sides?)
– argue for your conclusion (all things considered, which position is better and why?)
– similarly, if you choose to focus on specific cases, you should still follow the basic structure: (you should clearly explain all of the relevant facts, and specify background information: what company are you talking about? Who is the case about? Why is it interesting or important? How does this case relate to the theory? What is a moral dilemma that is relevant to this case? How would various theories assess the case? What should be done to solve it? What are possible arguments for each of those positions? What do you think is the right course of action? Why?)
– if you decide to use two or more cases, or focus on both theory and practice, the same guidelines will apply.
– however, remember that there are many ways to write a good paper, and you may succeed in doing this even if your paper is structured somewhat differently. But, your paper should flow – and this will typically occur if you organize your thoughts and systematically argue your point.
– To summarize: although you will have considerable freedom in choosing your topic and organizing your papers, it is expected of you to: explain the issue, summarize the arguments, evaluate the arguments, and argue for your conclusion.

So, I will be looking for a summary of the basic positions and a clear exposition of arguments that you are discussing. This part should demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the relevant topic and readings. More importantly, I will also be looking for a critical evaluation of the positions that you are discussing, and your opinion on the subject. This part should demonstrate your analytic skills and abilities: the ability to independently weigh and evaluate arguments, construct arguments of your own, argue for advantages of one side over its rivals, and so on.

– keep in mind that you will NEVER be graded based on what you argue for, but you WILL be graded based on how well you argue for it
– it is better to focus on few arguments and address them in greater depth, then to mention all of them in passing.

Format:
– Papers should be 5 pages long, typed in any standard font size 12, double-spaced, with standard size margins.
– Please include a cover page with your name on it, and indicate the topic of your choice.

Readings and references:
– Generally, you are free to use any resources as long as you identify them.
– Whenever you quote directly from a source, specify the source together with page numbers.
– You should do the same even if you do not include a direct quote. For example, if you paraphrase a paragraph from a certain source, you should still list it. Failure to do so can (and does) count as plagiarism.

The Instability of Recent King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program Graduates’ Careers and Underemployment

This is a PhD research proposal so I am ordering the highest quality of service you have and to be written by a UK writer. So Please follow the guideline attached and in the link:

http://www2.hull.ac.uk/PDF/researchproposal.pdf

I want it to be about graduate careers, especially graduate underemployment and turnover. Please bear in mind that I want to use mixed methodology my research. In addition I want to use King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program Graduates to be the case study.
About the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program:

http://www.mohe.gov.sa/en/aboutus/Institutions/Pages/Emission-of-the-outer.aspx
http://www.sacm.org.nz/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/KASP_English.pdf
The brainstorming that I come up with as follows and you may suggest your proposal but it must be in the area of Graduate career, especially underemployment. In addition, it would be preferred to use a case study in or related to Saudi Arabia:

The issue of underemployment that recent King Abdullah Scholarship Program Graduates, especially HRM specialists graduated form the UK, are suffering from during their careers.
Problems:

They are well educated in world-class universities and most of them are postgraduates. In addition, they Arabic native speakers and speaking English fluently with good research skills and HRM knowledge.
– It takes a long time to find a job.
– whenever they find it the salary is very low.
– the jobs they are getting are irrelevant to their qualification specialisation.
– most of they jobs doesn’t respect work-life balance.
– the job responsibility that most of them get can be taken by high school graduates.
– jobs in government sector is available for them in most cases.
– promotions and appraisals in most cases are not fair.
– they aren’t welcomed to work as lecturers in universities.
– recruitment agents aren’t allowed to open offices in Saudi Arabia and agents opening out of SA aren’t working effectively.
– management bureaucracy .
– some graduates couldn’t cope with work environment.
Possible solutions:

– the ministry of education should work in line with ministry of labour to solve this otherwise the issue may develop to be an unemployment issue, which will highly affect civil and government security.
– graduates should seek jobs match their qualification specialisation and the name of employers through international agents, and then contact the employers directly by phone and email at the same time.
– graduates also needs to follow up with their job applications, and check new jobs day by day.
– HRM jobs also available at independent government institutes, funds and authorities. Graduates should list them and check their websites if nothing in the website check by phone and after submitting application weekly follow up is needed.
– connections who can be family or friends may play an effective rules in employment. If they couldn’t, they may give hints on how recruitment department deal with job applications and who is the recruitment specialist to be contacted.
– social network like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook could be a tool to find available jobs matching speciality and it could be a tool to contact senior managers.

Please bear in mind that the writer of this proposal could be requested to write the whole research if approved by the university. I suggest to use any of the following publications as related as you think in addition to your own references:
