While Chinas economy is in a slump, oil and gas prices have fallen, however if the Asia Pacific economy were to increase and sustain growth, security of supply could be at risk for the UK. Fracking has been viewed by many as an environmental disaster, however considering the challenges of providing for our growing population and dependence on energy, some suggest fracking is a better alternative to being without power.
Aims/Objectives
The aim of this assessment is to determine the best approach for dealing with fuel security, specifically gas, in the UK.

Requirements
1. Consider the current suppliers of gas to the UK and their ability to continue provision, if the Asian Pacific regions were to increase demand. What affect would this have on UK energy generation and supply and the unit price?
2. The UK has been decommissioning aging coal and nuclear power stations, which may with increased demand, produce a shortfall in supply. Considering our natural resources, consider what alternatives the UK has in generating sufficient power to meet demand. Do not make unsupported suggestions, but include in your deliberations the possibility of using fracking. Make sure you consider the environmental aspects of securing this energy source or any alternative method of energy generation.

Current research review (<5 years old)
? Include a Practice guideline for your topic or a Systematic Review and a minimum of 2 peer reviewed articles to answer your PICOT statement/question. All should be referenced and (concise) summarized. You will complete a critical analysis to decide if the findings were significant but all the details from the critical analysis (use the tools from your Melnyk textbook) will not be included in your paper. Only use the most relevant evidence and statistical tests with values related to your case study and PICOT question in your paper and evidence table.
? Evidence Table minimum elements that should be present include: author, year, study design, number of subjects, methodology, significant findings or pertinent insignificant findings with associated statistical tests and their values
? Discuss research gaps and their limitations or barriers to applying evidence to Advanced Practice Nursing and/ or gaps in practice, if the evidence is available but not being applied in practice

Describe the relevance for your practice as an APN in reference to your case study support your evidence-based decision making processes with the practice guideline and other research listed in your evidence table to develop a patient centered treatment plan.
