Based on the video, how do we make ourselves vulnerable or not so vulnerable with decision-making. Sometimes do we try to make the

uncertain, certain, by making a decision without the facts and taking into consideration everyone’s perspective of the decision at hand? Do

we pretend that the other perspective doesn’t even exist when we are making decisions?
b— Identify and discuss the various factors that contribute to imperfect decision making in YOUR organization. Are the factors of

Challenges of introducing new type of music into a curriculum, where this type of music does not exist Research paper

Challenges, negatives and positives, and the best ways of introducing western classical music education into a curriculum where it does not

exist in that country’s curriculum without loosing the folk music of the country itself.

-It is discussing the challenges and the affordances of introducing a new music and music curriculum in particular to a new nation/country,

and educational system where that music does not exist.

We are talking specifically about introducing western classical music and how it can cover or vanish the folk music of the country itself

if it is done too much/ or wrong/or/and without a proper study on how to introduce it without loosing the native music of the country

itself
-We need examples of good and bad experiments, for example in England where classical music has become too western and there is hardly (if

any) English folk music is being taught in the state schools in the UK for example, and many other examples that could be found like maybe

north America, Asia or/and any other places. This should be backed-up with studies/books/articles that covered these countries e.g.1-we

need examples of some countries that introduced western classical music to its people or education system and lost their music

2-we also need examples of other countries who succeeded in this without loosing their musical identity

So basically it is about:

* How to introduce it

* Why to introduce it

* The best ways of introducing it to the curriculum of a different country that doe’s not have it

* What could be the challenges, implications, and the difficulties culturally, educationally, financially, and/or even religiously in some

cases (possibly).

* What could the best ways be to do that etc…

All this should be always backed-up with studies. Quotes from books, articles that have discussed these issues and the examples of the

countries that succeeded and the ones that failed because they failed in preserving their folk music and lost their own music.

One very important thing please: this has to show the negative and the positives please so it is balanced between those who succeeded in

this sort of implementation of a new music into their cultures and music curricula, and those who lost their own music because they gave so

much attention the western classical music and gave no care to their own traditional music and as a consequence lost their traditional

music and became too western.

Timelines of Performance History Research paper

Choosing one of the following topics, each student is to submit a concise essay that integrates primary and secondary research with

original critical insights.

A. Aristotle’s Poetics is certainly the most influential of all commentaries on the nature of drama and tragedy. But has it any relevance

to our understanding of, appreciation for, work in today’s theatre? Select a concept (only one) in the Poetics that resonates with you

(that you find interesting, illuminating or even compelling). Explain why you have selected it, explore critical interpretations of the

concept, and then apply it to a play of your choice (other than assigned plays), showing how the concept has helped to “unlock” the play

for you and thereby to enhance your critical understanding of the play’s themes, characterization and/or narrative structure.

B.The classical Greek tragic theatre made liberal use of theatrical conventions –a set of rules or particular ways of doing things that

were familiar to and accepted by both theatre artists and their audiences. These included the use of a chorus; a limitation on the number

of actors (three); the use of masks; the absence of onstage violence; the formal structure; heightened poetic language, etc. Selecting one

convention, research its value and Application using secondary sources and present your findings. Is this convention still used today? If

so, give an example of a play/performance that uses it and assess its artistic value. Conclude with a personal statement explaining how

researching this topic has enriched your understanding of theatrical art.

The essay will be 4-5 pages in Length (approximately 1375 words) and no longer, plus bibliography and title page. Remember: using the

citation template on the course website you must provide proper attribution (citation) for all sources utilized for both direct quotes and

all paraphrased information. On-line secondary source material is not encouraged. In addition to the play you have selected, your

bibliography must include at least 2 secondary sources –books or articles –that are not on-line sources and these should be your principal

secondary sources. These must not be textbooks assigned for the course. Use 1 inch margins, 12 point font, and double-spaced lines. As lucid

writing is essential to the transmission of ideas, form as well as content will be evaluated. This means that clear and cogent writing,

proper spelling and grammar and paragraph structure will be assessed in addition to your thoughts and critical perceptions.
