training program and sales strategies.

You can do a training program to improve sales. The problem in my company is that we mostly rely on our call centre to make the sale. However, because we don’t pay enough salary per hour, my employees leave the field to join a different field. My hourly rate is competitive, but not much compared to other fields at the entry-level.

We tried to train staff, but since it’s a revolving door, we give a quick training now. We started a target system but most callers are unable to achieve their target on a daily/weekly basis.

We need a better training program and sales strategies.

Legal and Ethical Issues Related to the Workplace

Legal and Ethical Issues Related to the Workplace
Assignment:
The American Nurses Association (ANA) provides important nursing practice guidance and guidelines. For example, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses is a definitive guide that demonstrates how to perform nursing responsibilities while providing quality care in a manner that meets ethical obligations. ANA Position Statements provide explanations, justification, or recommendations for a course of action pertaining to relevant and current topics in nursing practice. ANA Principles for Nursing Practice are promulgated principles aimed at providing practical information for practice, from pay to staffing, delegation to documentation, and even cutting-edge topics such as the social media. The ANA also publishes the Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice which provides a broad, non-clinical description of the art and science of nursing.
For this Application Assignment, locate your chosen work-related issue/problem from the week two discussion. Based on your week two discussion, write a 4 to 5 -page paper addressing the following:
Your state’s Board of Nursing (BON) approach to your work-related issue in the BON’s Nurse Practice Act and the efficacy of the BON’s approach in the context of your workplace issue/problem;
Two American Nurses Association (ANA) sources from the preceding ANA publications that address your work-related issue and the efficacy of the ANA’s approach in the context of your work environment.

Violence in Nursing and its negative effects on the workplace
Healthcare workers are at high risk for experiencing violence in the workplace. Nurses are the most usual victims of violence in the workplace among all other health care workers. Because, they provide direct patient care; they are among physicians and patients, administration and patient care team. Nursing homes, social service agencies, and hospitals have more episodes of violence that result in time lost from work than other professions. Nearly two-thirds of nonfatal assaults occur in the health care industry (Smith, 2002). The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) define workplace violence as any physical assault, threatening behavior or verbal abuse occurring in the workplace (NIOSH, 1996). Although, there are many cases of abuse, yet it is possible to categorize the different types. According to C.J. Huston (2014), there are seven types of violence in nursing. There is nurse-to-nurse, patient to the nurse, an organization to nurse, external perpetrators, violence from colleagues/family members, environmental, and nurse-to-patient (p.203).
Everyone who works in nursing for a few years has an experience of violence, unfortunately. It adds more emotional stress and unhappiness to the compound nursing job. The nurses hear screaming patients, who see a delay of services; nurses experience pressure from supervisors, bullying from colleagues and verbal abuse from physicians. Working in very dynamic and stressful areas such OR, ER, inpatient psychiatric units always gives the chance to be assaulted by patients, families and staff. It remains to be one of the major professional issues.
ANA recognizes that workplace violence is a trouble in the health care industry and works hard to furnish resources to protect nurses. All these varieties of violence might be prevented or decreased if the workplace provides a dependable environment for employees with cameras, alarm systems, emergency exits. Health care providers should deliver an opportunity to report any form of violence to administration to protect their own and avoid further violence in the workplace. In some hospitals, nurses complete the course, how to cope with aggressive patients, abusive strangers and kin members, how to protect from physical and verbal abuse. These all might help nurses to feel more comfortable and safe in the workplace. As a health care worker, we have a right to operate in a safe environment to be able to deliver quality nursing care.
