Developing Leadership

Essay: 21st
-century leadership (1500 words)
Organisations today face significantly different challenges from those of the past, for
example in terms of global recession, climate change, terrorism, international competition,
technological change and more mobile workforces. It seems reasonable to suppose that
operating in such a complex and unpredictable environment will call for new styles of
leadership and new approaches to negotiation.
You are required to write an essay explaining ONE major challenge in the next five years
and its implications for the kind of leadership and negotiation capabilities that they will need
to develop. (You may look at a challenge for one particular type of organisation if you wish.)

Marking criteria for assessment 2
? Coherent and convincing identification of a major challenge facing organisations in the
contemporary world linked to leadership process (25%)
? Identification of relevant leadership and negotiation concepts, and insightful application
to the essay topic (20%)
? Evidence of reading from a range of sources; careful referencing (15%)
? Critical and independent thinking (10%)
? Good structure: an effective introduction and conclusion, logical organisation of material,
integration of all sections into a unitary whole (20%)
? Clear expression; evidence of proofreading (10%)

the picture of dorian gray

from the book “the picture of dorian gray” by oscar wild and the movie ” the devil wears prada” please do not plagiarize i have posted 3 sources that you can use and make quotations from.
the referencing format has to be : MLA

“The Picture of Dorian Gray” and “The Devil wears Prada”

In “The Picture of Dorian Gray” and “The Devil wears Prada,” there are techniques of the negative consequences of influence, superficiality and corruption depicted.

I would like to focus on the themes especially on “negative consequences of influence,” “superficiality,” and “corruption” in both materials. For example, In “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” Lord Henry gives Dorian Gray a French book about hedonistic lifestyles, and Dorian begins to engage in this hedonism. They are focused on pleasure, enjoyment, beauty and sexual desires. In “The Devil wears Prada,” Andrea, a quiet girl, is turning into a different person in both physically and mentally influenced by fashion society. Dorian himself is a superficial person and Andrea being in a fashion society as well. In both works, corruption would eventually arrive towards to the ends. Dorian is appeared at the beginning of the novel as an innocent youth. Under Lord Henry’s influence he becomes corrupt, and eventually begins corrupting other youths himself.

please in each paragraph make 3-4 quotations either from dorian gray or the devil wears prada or the sources that i have posted.

For your final exam, you will be writing a research paper. In this research paper students will conduct research at the library and online to find information on the assigned topic. Using that information, students will write a well-organized, thought out research paper.

TOPIC: Students will research and gather information about the dramatic structure of a play (past and present). You will then choose two of the plays that were read and/or watched in class, “Trifles” [Casebook, p. 967] and “A Madea Christmas” [In class presentation]) to analyze/compare and contrast. You will choose and support your thesis from the research that you’ve done and the plays that you’ve chosen to analyze.

REQUIREMENTS:

You will discuss the dramatic structure of the plays that you’ve chosen and where it falls in the timeline of the development of dramatic structure. Your paper should analyze the following:

a. Who is the Protagonist and the Antagonist? What is the main conflict of the play, how does this conflict come about and how is it resolved (traditional play vs. modern play)?

b. Compare/Contrast one or more of the following elements in the plays: Point of Attack, Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action and/or Denouement.
